Qui sommes-nous?
NORTH OF 45 est un nouveau duo country québécois. La formation, composée des guitaristes Yves Savard et Dan Beaudoin a vue le jour en 2020. Entre country pop et country folk, les deux complices composent ensemble et s'expriment en anglais et en français. Depuis le début de leurs collaboration, trois extraits ont été lancés et sont disponibles sur le web.
Le guitariste , compositeur et réalisateur abitibien Yves Savard est connu pour ses collaborations avec plusieurs grands noms de l'industrie, tels que Laurence Jalbert, Lynda Lemay, Jean-Francois breau, Robert Charlebois et plusieurs autres. Dan Beaudoin est un musicien, auteur et compositeur interprète franco-ontarien, qui a grandi en Abitibi. Il a partagé la scène, entre autres, avec le groupe Relief.
La rencontre entre les deux artistes a eu lieu lors de la production de l'album solo de Dan Beaudoin en 2018-19. Une chimie instantanée de même que la volonté de travailler ensemble a rapidement été claire entre eux. Mais c'est en 2020, durant la pandémie, qu'ils ont finalement décidé de créer ensemble de nouvelles pièces et de les produire sous un nouveau nom, bien a eux: NORTH OF 45.
Visuellement, c'est Jean-Charles Labarre qui a eu le mandat de créer un logo pour le duo, une image que vous pouvez voir sur toutes les plateformes de NORTH OF 45: Youtube, Facebook, Instagram.

Who are we?
NORTH OF 45 is a new Quebec country duo that brings together guitarists Yves Savard and Dan Beaudoin, founded in 2020. The two accomplices compose together and express themselves in English or French between country pop and country folk. Since the beginning of their collaboration, three singles have been released and are available on the web.
Abitibi-based guitarist, composer and Producer Yves Savard is known for his collaborations with several big names in the Industry as Laurence Jalbert, Lynda Lemay, Jean-Francois Breau, Robert Charlebois ans many others. Dan Beaudoin is Franco-ontarien musicien, author and singer-songwriter who grew up in Abitibi. He shared the stage, among others, with the group Relief.
The reunion between the two artists took place during the production of Dan Beaudoin's solo album in 2018-19. An instant chemistry and the will to work together quickly became clear between them. But it was in 2020, during the pandemic, that they finally decided to create new pieces together and produce them on a new name of their own: NORTH OF 45.
Visually, Jean-Charles Labarre had the mandate to create a logo for the duo, an image you can see on all NORTH OF 45 platforms Youtube, Facebook and Instagram.

What it takes
"What it takes" is the band first single released in August 2020. A country pop song with strong back vocals, and great rhythm!
The song was recorded at Studio Yves Savard in Montreal and the mastering was done by Scott Hull in New York, USA.
"What it takes" fut le premier single du groupe et est sorti en Aout 2020. Une chanson country pop ponctuer de solides harmonies vocales et un bon rythme!
La chanson fut produite au STUDIO YVES SAVARD et le mastering a été fait par nul autre que Scott Hull a New York, USA.
La Magie de Noël
"La Magie de Noël" is the first song in french for the band. They wanted to explore both languages and it came out pretty good as a Christmas song.
This time, the recording, mix and mastering were all made at STUDIO YVES SAVARD in Montreal.
"La Magie de Noël" le deuxième single du groupe, en français cette fois, démontre leurs capacité a créer dans les deux langues et produire des chansons pour tous. Sortie en Novembre 2021, elle sauras surement vous plairent a Noël!
La chanson fut produite et masteriser au STUDIO YVES SAVARD a Montréal.
Tout recommencer
"Tout recommencer" is the 3rd single for the band. Still in french, It was released in May 2022. This single got the band there first radios interviews in Canada and France!
The song was produced at Studio Yves Savard.
"Tout recommencer" est la petite dernière de NORTH OF 45. Toujours en français elle est sortie en mai 2022. Contenant un beau message d'espoir elle a value au groupe ses premières entrevues a la radio et ce, jusqu'en France!
